Alecia

Physiotherapist & Pilates Teacher

Alecia has worked as a physiotherapist since graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from The University of Sydney, Australia in 2001. She has additional training in pilates with DMA Clinical Pilates and The Australian Pilates & Physiotherapy Institute. Alecia has worked in both adult and paediatric hospitals and more recently private  practice in both Australia and the UK. Her clinical experience includes care of children, adults and the elderly. Alecia has additional expertise in the area of persistent/chronic pain management. Other areas of special interest include neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, hypermobility and childhood continence. Alecia uses a variety of skills to help her patients achieve their goals such as education, massage and other manual techniques, sports tape, exercise and clinical pilates.

Alecia is a proud Aussie currently living in the UK for the second time with her husband, 3 children and Border Collie and loves yoga, pilates and all things adventurous. Her current favourite hobby is planning holidays!

Alecia is a member of the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists) and the HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council).
